It's dependable under extreme static weight, straightforward to maintain, and doesn't introduce the complexity of air management systems in the section of the trailer bearing the heaviest concentrated loads. The rear three axles are a different story: air suspension with full lifting function allows ride height adjustment on the fly, which matters when you're navigating loading bays, crossing uneven ground, or need to redistribute weight across axles to stay within local permit limits. Add active steering to those rear axles and the trailer's turning circle shrinks dramatically — a genuine operational advantage when moving oversized cargo through port access roads, construction site entrances, or urban freight corridors where turning radius is a hard constraint.
