The 4102 diesel engine and 12m³ air compressor form a self-contained power unit visible at the front of the chassis. Independence from the tractor's air system means discharge can begin immediately on arrival at the delivery point, without waiting for pressure to build or managing shared pneumatic capacity between braking and discharge functions. The 12m³ compressor capacity moves material at a consistent rate from full tank to empty, minimizing the slow tail-end discharge that wastes time at busy batching plants and construction sites.

At 40m³, the tank volume sits in the practical range for most regional cement distribution networks — large enough to reduce trip frequency meaningfully versus smaller tankers, within the axle load limits that four-axle mechanical suspension handles comfortably on standard road classifications. The four-axle configuration spreads gross vehicle weight across more contact points, which keeps individual axle loads within permit thresholds on routes where three-axle configurations would require special authorization or load restrictions.
